Prof. Qi Jiayin of BUPT Visited the Lab

Prof. Qi Jiayin and her student from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) visited Web Mining Lab on Jan. 3 2013. They introduced two recent studies on information diffusion and network sampling, followed by an intensive discussion with Jonathan and other Lab members. Both parties saw opportunities for collaboration on online social networks in the future. Prof. Qi commented, “Web Mining Lab is the source of knowledge.” Prof. Qi is director of the Center of Social Network Information Management and Service at BUPT (http://wptrying.sinaapp.com/), which has published dozens of papers on social network information management both in SCI and SSCI journals.
