Lab Members Participated in the Visit to SZU

On Jan. 4 2013, Ph.D. students in the Department of Media & Communication visited Shenzhen University, invited by Prof. Zhou Yuqiong. Postgradute students at SZU introduced their background and studies, followed by an experience exchange with students from CityU. Web Mining Lab members, Wang Chengjun and Chen Hexin, presented their research in the lab, as the cohort representatives. Chengjun’s speech on computational communication was thought highly of as ‘full of philosophy thinking’. Prof. Zhou is director of the Center for Media & Social Changes at SZU (http://media.szu.edu.cn/), who is also a Ph.D. graduate from the Department of Media & Communication at CityU and published dozens of papers on rumors and online opinion.
