WML hosts 2015 CityU Computational Communication Research workshop
Built on the successful Workshop on Web Mining in 2014, Web Mining Lab continues to host the CCR2015 Workshop, co-organized by Global China Studies. The workshop would provide training on major approaches and tools of computational social science for communication research. All the major steps will be covered, i.e., overall design, data collection, data analysis, text mining, and data visualization. Faculty or PhD graduates of Web Mining Lab will walk the workshop participants through the process, with their experience in developing and applying computational social science tools to communication research questions (often in the context of big data). The workshop is open for applications from academic and applied researchers for communication and media. It will be open for the public from 11 May 2015 if extra seats are available. For more information, please visit the CCR2015 website.
