Winson Visited Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA)

Winson Peng visited MSRA for a month between June 19, 2014 and July 18, 2014 as an MSR Visiting Researcher. During his visit, Winson worked with Dr. Yingcai Wu, Dr. Shixia Liu and other members of data visualization group on a paper on topic coopetition on social media which has been accepted for publication by IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (TVCG, a top journal on visualization) and for conference presentation at VAST 2014. This is the second collaborative paper between the Lab and MSRA. In 2013, Jonathan and Winson published another paper on issue competition on social media in TVCG with MSRA researchers. Winson also had an intensive discussion with MSRA researchers during the visit, which will lead to the launch of several promising projects in the next half of the year.
