Qin Jie Visits Northwestern University for a Semester

Qin Jie (left), a second-year PhD student funded by Hong Kong PhD Fellowship, is at Northwestern University, USA as a pre-doctoral fellow for four months. At Northwestern, she works with Professor Michelle Shumate (right) of Department of Communication Studies on the effectiveness of inter-organizational networks within and beyond the world of nongovernmental organizations (NGOs). She also participates in a semester-long workshop on longitudinal network analysis, which is co-organized by University of Southern California and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her overseas study is funded by Chow Yei Ching School of Graduate Studies at City University of Hong Kong.
