Jonathan Shea (second from the right), CEO of Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation (HKIRC) visited Web Mining Lab on Sept 7, 2012. HKIRC«https://www.hkirc.hk/» is the central administrator of Internet domain names in Hong Kong, a role similar to CNNIC«http://cnnic.cn/» in mainland China, TWNIC«http://www.twnic.org.tw/» in Taiwan, etc. In discussions with Jonathan Zhu (first from the left) of Web Mining Lab, Shea expressed strong interest in establishing collaboration with the Lab in research on Internet use in the territory.
