Web Mining Lab Coorganizes BDSC2017 in Lanzhou

The 2017 China National Conference on Big Data and Social Computing will be held at Southwest Normal University (SWNU) in Lanzhou on August 12 and 13, 2017, jointly coorganized by College of Computer Science and Engineering at SWNU, School of Information at Renmin University of China (RUC), and Web Mining Lab (WML) and Centre for Communication Research (CCR) of City University of Hong Kong (CityU). Over a hundred scholars from a variety of disciplines including computer science, communication, complex science, management, economics, psychology, and digital humanities will present their latest works on social computing at the interdisciplinary conference. Jonathan Zhu of WML serves a co-chair of the conference. He played a similar role at the 2012 CCF China National Conference on Social Computing, which was held in November 2012 and coorganized by RUC and CityU.
